The Price

The pricing for the Switch’s online services have finally been revealed by Nintendo. It was stated that the Switch’s online would cost around 2-3000 yen each year (or around £13.94 – 20.91) which is almost half of how much it costs to use the online services of both the PS4 and the Xbox One. It’s clear that Nintendo want to be competitive in this market by making their online offerings slightly more affordable to people, specifically this might bring in a younger audience.

However at this current moment I don’t think it is still worth buying online access for the Switch. From what we have seen there are only a couple of games that will use the online features available at launch and most of the other offerings will be available much later in the year, with Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 being the only big looking online experiences.

Maybe I’m wrong however and it will turn out to be a great deal in the long run. For myself it just seems to confirm the fact that buying a Switch at launch isn’t such a great idea but give it a while, maybe a few months after substantially more games are available for the system, and it may become more worth it. So what do you all believe about this? Do you think this is a good deal or not? Let me know in the comments section! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
