Yesterday it seemed as though Humble Bundle were feeling generous as they were giving away for free the ‘Amnesia Collection’ Which consists of the original Amnesia: The Dark Descent and it’s sequel ‘A Machine for Pigs’.
Amnesia, for those who don’t know, was one of the original “Let’s Player Games”, a wonderful indie horror game that was capable of providing really good scares without having to resort to silly tropey jumpscares. The sequel was not as well received due to it being a bit more story focused and less scary however it’s still a good game that warrants at least one playthrough.
I miss the days of these games being on top, simply having a scary single player experience with no strings attached seems to be the healthiest way that the gaming community can be and while yes it did lead to an oversaturation of Let’s Players on Youtube it also helped to kickstart many people’s careers. So if you haven’t played them yet then give these games a try, you may even grow to love them. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
