Video Game Mook – An enemy presented to the player as cannon fodder, simple to kill and no moral or philosophical problems should arise when you kill one.
Sometimes I feel sorry for the Mook. The raiders of fallout, the bandits of skyrim the stormtroopers of star wars, they are all just trying to get along. You can justify yourself by saying that these people are horrible and commit terrible atrocities so it’s ok to kill them, but is it? Killing is a difficult thing no matter who it is you kill, if you kill indiscriminately without feeling any emotions no matter who it may be you may very well be a sociopath. Even soldiers who kill people regularly feel huge pangs of remorse no matter how bad the person they think they are shooting is.
