After having played a little bit of Wii Fit with my girlfriends (It was an alright time) we both agreed that the Wii Fit Board is a bit… imprecise. Sure it can measure your body weight easily but dealing with positioning, especially leaning, can be a bit tricky for it to understand properly.
Thus comes the conversation topic of gaming peripherals. You know the type, those extra controllers that certain games simply can’t function without or feel much better to play if you have them. The Wii was the king of extra gaming peripherals with so much third party plastic accessories you’d think it was made as a babies first plastic molding training exercise for employees. Some people say these things add to the experience of playing these type of games however I will always still prefer to use a controller simply because it is what I am used to. Now of course I understand that games like Wii Fit can only function with this extra bit of kit but the point still stands that I feel a controller will almost always work better no matter the situation.
What do you think about gaming peripherals? Do you think they add something to the experience or do you find them worthless? Be sure to comment and let me know! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
