Game characters can come in many different shapes and sized though one constant seems to be retained among many different types of them, at least one or two will be Edgy. You know what I mean, constantly violent, black/red clothing, loner type, appealing to goths, we all know a character from a series that loves to be the biggest hardass that there is, and we can’t seem to take them seriously.
It seems to be an interesting trend, while many do take them to be serious characters many others use them as a type of joke, trying their hardest to be cool and yet when they go past the boundary of being normal we just end up laughing at them. It’s a strange scale, and knowing how to balance it exactly will make a better character, if not then let’s just hope you’re being ironic when you make an edgier than edgy character.
