The Nintendo Switch finally had details revealed about it in a huge event that Nintendo hosted for the world. Details about the console were shown including the launch line-up, the price, the storage space and the online connectivity features. Alongside this loads of new games were shown off for the system including a brand new Mario game set for release later in the year.
I’m not going to get a switch. Not initially at least. It’s a bit of an abrupt decision after not even seeing the console in its fullest however the details that were shown during the event made me both skeptical and cautious about the new system. The launch lineup looks stale even with the new Zelda game (which I will be getting for the Wii U by the way), the online features being tied mainly to a smartphone app and being pay-to-use now made me upset as I feel the system and the games on offer do not justify a monthly subscription and finally the lack of giving actual technical details about the system during the event, including the graphics chip and the amount of RAM the system would use as both a home console and a mobile system, is making me feel as though they are hiding it.
Who knows though, I might be wrong, it could in fact be the best console ever! I suppose we will all just have to see when it comes out on March 3rd. You all enjoy your new console, I’ll be playing the new Zelda game on my trusty Wii U. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
