People often underestimate the power of silly game strategies. I most recently found this out while attempting to play an all robot SPARK squad game of XCOM 2 on Commander Difficulty, and I succeeded!
It really was a moment of triumph for me as I had never actually beaten this difficulty before (It’s the second hardest in the game) and doing it with a specific squad that many would consider a tactical disadvantage was an amazing feeling. SPARKS you see are considered not very strong by the general XCOM community and so with me deciding that I would use a whole squad of them as I love robots I never thought I would actually win, and yet here we are.
It’s an even more profound effect in multiplayer, especially considering you have defeated actual normal and serious people by using a silly strategy. I highly encourage anyone who doesn’t think things like this are a good idea to at least give it a shot. Who knows, you may just catch your opponent off guard! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
