I finally caved in and bought some things in the Steam Summer Sale, but probably not what you were all expecting. I actually thought to myself that I wanted to play more games with my girlfriend and so started looking for games that would appeal to both of us, and this is just one of them (the others will be mentioned later in the week).
Overcooked is a fun little co-op game that seems to combine the culinary knowledge of cooking mama with the insane co-ordination of a high end puzzle game. Your goal in each level is fairly simple, cook whatever meals are asked of you by gathering ingredients, cutting them, cooking them and then serving them. However the difficulty comes in the form of multitasking various things from washing dishes to cooking multiple foods, stage hazards and generally getting in each other’s way.
Honestly we have had an absolute blast playing this game so far. We will be playing more at another point but we have plenty more games to get through so stick around if you are interested in seeing what else we tried. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
