Overwatch has released a new patch for their public test realm that is bringing brand new features, buffs and nerfs to the game. The biggest new thing has to be the newly introduced Server Browser, allowing players to create their own custom games and open them up for other people online to experience.
Before while custom games were playable with friends this new feature allows people to have some fun playing silly gamemodes and will really help the community band together and create new experiences for us all to play. Several games (like Halo Custom Edition) live and breathe on their custom games and thus this may very well bring the sense of community and creativity that Overwatch has felt like it has been missing sometimes into the limelight.
Of course there is also the buffs, including ones for D.Va and Mercy. The biggest one though has to be for my absolute favourite character, Bastion, who now not only has better toughness in his turret form but also can repair on the fly and has a more accurate weapon in his recon mode. While it’s too early to say if this will make him more viable I am just so happy that the friendly robot will finally be getting a chance to shine for once. Let’s hope Bastion will finally be a good character gameplay wise.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
