Interesting developments have just come out about the creation of the fourth Metroid Prime game. Many people love the Prime series forn the innovations that it made to the metroid IP and how it showed people that Nintendo were more than capable of creating a great FPS. It seems however that Nintendo are actually giving development of the next game in the series to Namco Bandai of all people… what!?
The studio is mostly well known for the Pac Man and Yu-Gi-Oh game series as well as being involved in the latest Smash Bros, so that would be where the link to Nintendo came from. Many people are concerned as the studio has never had a successful game in the FPS genre and their recent track history has been… questionable to say the least. I suppose we can’t make judgements quite yet until we see some gameplay, let’s just hope they don’t mess it up, the Prime series has suffered enough.
