Sombra was released onto the Overwatch PTS earlier last evening to a huge amount of adoring fans and cheering hackers who were ready to finally be recognised in one of their favourite games. Unfortunately as these things usually come to, the game servers couldn’t handle the amount of people coming on and so started booting people into a queue, me included…
Overloading servers are a pain that all of us gamers who play online have to deal with at least once in our lives. Servers that can’t handle the strain of popularity that comes from a new release or a new expansion pack or something similar. It’s a shame too as many games get hugely negative reviews from people who simply don’t understand how server maitenance and load works and so dispite the developers trying their best to make sure as many people can get on as possible there will always be those self entitled brats who just want the game all to themselves.
Ahh well maybe I’m just a bit salty that I can’t play Overwatch as Sombra for a little while until things calm down, maybe I’ll play some Skyrim instead… That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
