So while playing through Poekmon Super Mystery Dungeon I actually came across an old pokemon friend from PMD Explorers of Darkness/Time, who knew! I was so excited to see them again I think I just about fell out my seat (yeah I over-react, go figure). It got me thinking though, about games that reference or even have characters from previous entries in the series.
Games like Fallout 4 or even 3 have several characters that have been in previous fallout games. While it is intended as more of a nod to the fans it helps to also bring back memories for those who cherished the older games and even maybe entice players who have never heard of these characters to try out the older games in the series, they may even enjoy them as much as those who first played them!
So what do you think about the concept of carrying over characters from previous game entries?
