Yacht Club Games finally broke the silence they kept over the past year or so and revealed many things to us, including the fact that not only are they releasing the final expansion to Shovel Knight, King of Cards, but also they are releasing a brand new fighting game mode that will be free to those who own the game called Shovel Knight: Showdown.
This new mode will feature a fighting game roster of ever single knight in the game, including people such as Black Knight and even The Enchantress! The mode will be free to those who own the game and will also be released as a standalone title for those who don’t own the game but want to try this glorious looking game.
They also announced the release date of both expansions which was sad to me, April of next year. I was hoping for it to be released this year but I suppose they will need all that extra development time to make Shovel Knight: Showdown so I’m not too fussed. I’m just excited to be getting more Shovel Knight and with this being the last batch of content for the game it will be an emotional farewell. That’s all for now, and as always.
