I have been thinking recently about the concept of games that were originally going to be made but were eventually scrapped or cancelled. Games like the above Star Wars 1313 showed great promise however due to Lucas Arts shutting down the game itself was also given the shelf, which is such a huge shame as it was shaping up to be an incredible looking Star Wars games.
So many games look like they could have been amazing but due to either incompetent studios or simply lack of vision or budget they have been scrapped. Some of these games however have come back from the dead, to mixed views. Duke Nukem Forever is perhaps the most famous example of which, being kept in such a developmental hell many people thought the game had been cancelled or just forgotten about over the years, and yet it did come out! …Yet many people wish it hadn’t.
So what do you all think of these type of games? Do you think they show great promise and should be revived or do you think dead games should stay dead? Be sure to let me know in the comments! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
