Ark: Survival in Question

I mean that does look... glorious
I mean that does look… glorious

Ark: Survival Evolved is an open world crafting/survival MMO that has gained huge amounts of popularity over the past year, being released originally on Steam and now having it’s own console release. I’ve never actually played it so I don’t know what it’s like, however it seems as though the development team behind the game is going through legal issues, which may even have the game pulled from sale!

So what exactly is the problem? Well the game designer, Jeremy Stieglitz, originally worked for another games company known as Trendy Entertainment. After he left the company he was told for legal reasons he was not allowed to engage in games work with other companies for at least a year and he could not encourage other people to leave the company. However they claim that he assisted in the development of Ark and that many people who were credited with making the game were in fact former employees of Trendy.

Sounds to me like a company just wants to get their hands on someone else’s hard work, considering the shady deals that Trendy Entertainment has done in the past, however I will reserve judgement until I see exactly what becomes of this in court. Anyway what do you all think about this situation and who do you believe? Share your opinions in the comments! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
