Class Roles

I have gained the urge to play Oblivion again, not sure why, maybe it was the fact I was swinging around a toy sword earlier in the week claiming I was a noble warrior… don’t judge me.

However while thinking of a new class to play I decided to go for something a bit different, a knight who wears simple clothing and when he goes into battle he summons his armor and weapons to him using magic. I thought it would be a really cool concept, and it broke apart the barriers between the mage class and the warrior class.

That idea of mixing gameplay classes is not unheard of in single player RPG’s but in MMO’s it’s practically a death sentence as you won’t be maximising your efficiency or gear. Still, for people who want something different from their game I would highly encourage mixing the traditional classes. Being bound by specific rules and equipment when playing a game means that you often do not experience the game as a whole and thus miss out on a lot of content. By just going along with what comes up you will often find things that you missed prior, and will have a lot more fun that way.

Anyway what do you all think of mixing RPG classes? Be sure to let us know! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
