I wanted to take a minute to talk about a series of games that is most likely very close to a lot of hearts to people who grew up in the early noughties, browser based games.
You should all know these games from at least one thing only, the games you found and played online sneakily during your IT classes at school. These games didn’t require you to download any software and so were perfect for playing during your time at school. You had your stipical websites that had hundreds of these games such as Newgrounds but there were also fully fleged games that were actually incredibly deep.
The big grandaddy of those games was of course Runescape. I personally never played it myself but many of my friends did and found it to be a fantastic time as a child. Does it still hold up today? Well I’m not so sure, maybe I should give it a try some day.
