For those that play video games at least semi-regularly you should know what the concept of achievements are. Little awards or challenges that you must complete in certain games in order to unlock them at which point you get a satisfying ding and a bunch of points/ticks off a list for bragging rights.
Now I personally do not care much right no for achievements as I feel games shouldn’t be dumbed down into number games however there are some people who see these as the sole reason to play a game. These people even buy games they won’t play properly just so that they can unlock their achievements and move onto the next one. I’m not one to say anything about this playstyle as everyone is entitled to play as they wish however I do find it a bit silly myself.
So what is your opinion on the idea of achievements in games? Do you like them and if so why? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments! That’s all for now, and always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
