Xbox Thrive

Come on, you’ve got to admit that pun was pretty good

It seems as though Microsoft are being significantly less xenophobic with it’s Xbox exclusives which is proving to be a huge boon for the gaming community. Not only are most Xbox One games also being released on PC via the Windows 10 store but also recently Microsoft have announced that they are bringing their Xbox Live services to the Nintendo Switch of all places!

We don’t know much in the way of details surrounding what exactly bringing this service to the Switch will mean. Will it be a separate app that allows you to check your profile and chat with friends, will it interact with Switch games by providing achievements or stat tracking or will it even be a chance for normally Xbox One exclusive titles to come onto the Switch with their online being handled by Xbox Live, it’s very exciting to speculate at this point.

With the gaming world opening up more and console exclusivity being less important it seems as though Microsoft are focusing more on the software side of things rather than placing all their eggs into the Xbox console basket which is a great idea in my opinion. Maybe one day there will be no exclusives and everyone can simply just get along… well we can only hope anyway. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
