Xbox Games Showcase 2026

I actually completely forgot this comes out quite soon…

And now we come to the other big showcase and the last one I’ll be talking about. I actually think Microsoft gave the best presentation this year as there was plenty to talk about and surprise reveals that really caught me off guard. Let’s see what I found interesting this year.

First off we got gameplay shown off of the new Gears of War prequel, E-Day, which was funny to watch as seeing these characters in normal sized human outfits made their proportions seem strange. They also revealed it’s an Xbox console exclusive which I have no idea why they were so excited to announce. Congrats, you get LESS choice, be excited.

Next was some gameplay shown of the new Halo 1 remaster and this time we actually got to see some of those prequel missions that were teased. I honestly am unsure as to how this will turn out, as seemingly they have changed a lot about the game, but considering it will be on the Game Pass I’ll be trying it out anyway to find out. Then we got some actual gameplay of the Persona 4 remake which looks gorgeous. That’s not the only bit of Persona news either as we’ll cover shortly…

Next was the announcement of a full on completely new Metro game, Metro 2039 which as you can imagine is set during the events of the book it is named after, though I’m unsure as to how accurately it follows it. Still, more reasons to explore the post-apocalyptic Russian wasteland which I’m all for. Then we got a funny surprise, Bad Magpie, made by the same people who created Untitled Goose Game and as you can imagine from this studio the game is weird, wonderful and absolutely chaotic.

Next up, Senua, which is another game in the ‘Hellblade’ series if you didn’t know. Seems to be a lot more combat focused this time, I wonder how it will tackle mental health this time around. Then we finally got gameplay of the recently teased Crazy Taxi game, now known as Crazy Taxi: World Tour. It certainly looks like a Crazy Taxi game, I just hope it plays like one too as that will be a fun arcade experience!

This game looked crazy interesting, Magician: The Devil’s Deal, which is seemingly a Bioshock inspired first person shooter where you play as a magician working for the devil to get your souls back. It has magic tricks, flaming card weapons and a whole lot of magic. Looks extremely interesting, and a game I will certainly be checking out. After that we got a weird one, Valor Mortis, a first person souls-like in which you play as Napoleon in an alternate history war with robots and magic, Weird stuff, but looks good fun. Then we got the announcement of a new Castlevania game, this time it’s another 2D adventure known as ‘Belmont’s Curse’ and sees you playing as Rose Belmont doing the usual antics of taking down Dracula. It looks nicely stylised, seemingly after the successful Netflix series, so I hope it plays well.

Then there was a big one, I told you we’d come back to this. Persona 6, finally announced. No release date, or even gameplay, but from the teaser we were shown it looks to be either very dark or horror inspired. Either way, it’s been such a long time and now I can finally jump onto a new entry in the Persona series from the start. I can hardly wait. Then another big surprise, a brand new Spyro game known as Spyro: A Realm Beyond which looks to be at least partially open world which was an awesome surprise.

That’s all I wanted to talk about. The presentation ended with Call of Duty but honestly who even cares at this point. I hope you liked my breakdown and please feel free to check out the full stream VOD for the entire list of announcements. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
