Another surprise Nintendo Direct, they really look to announce the best times for these right after everyone else has announced their big games? Regardless here we are again with more big game announcements, let’s get into this!
First off we have an overview of the new Rhythm Heaven game which this time also comes with co-op! Interesting twist, and looks fun as ever! Then we got a new update for Pokemon Pokopia, underwater exploration and towns! Cool idea, they also announced that DLC was coming too, as to be expected.
Next up we got more info on the new Fire Emblem game, seems like we’re getting a trend here of updates to already announced things… hopefully we get more. And we… actually did! A new Xenoblade game, Genesis, which funnily enough seems a lot more like a Xenoblades Harry Potter game with you playing as a young protagonist going to school. I’m sure fans will be happy for this.
A new Switch Sports game came up next! Set on Wuhu Island, hell yeah! Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, still weird they haven’t gone back to using the classic Miis again, especially after the success of Tomodachii. Still I’m happy to see the old location back, gives me nostalgic vibes for the Wii era. Next is a new Dragon Quest Monsters game, I haven’t heard about this creature battling series for a long while, I believe this was actually the original, even before Pokemon. Also, the trailer voiceover made me cringe, which was funny.
Then we were finally shown a new trailer for Fromsoft’s new big game, The Duskbloods, though we didn’t get any actual gameplay, just the announcement of a network test this summer, which I’m sure won’t actually get more people hyped for the game as being a Switch 2 exclusive is the big hurdle, for me included. I just hope maybe the game might one day come to PC… yeah right…
Afterwards we got Deltarune Chapter 5 news! June 24th, this month! Hell yeah! I… imagine this is also the PC release date too, either way I know what I’m playing in a couple of weeks! Next we got Kingdom Hearts 4, shocker! I’m sure all the fans of that series will be happy about this, I will just continue to smile and look on from afar.
Finally, we got what most people anticipated, the Ocarina of Time remake, It does look absolutely lovely, but retreading old ground seems a bit strange for the biggest announcement of the stream, but that’s modern games for you. We didn’t even get to see any gameplay, but it comes out later this year, so that’s nice!
Anyway, that’s all I wanted to talk about. Check out the full stream if you want to see all the smaller games announced. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
