I always seem to come back to talking about XCOM in some capacity don’t I? Well once again we find ourselves back in the alien-stomping boots of the XCOM 2 team as a massive development has taken place in the modding scene for the game; the official expansion, War of the Chosen, finally has a Long War mod.
To those who are not in the XCOM modding loop, Long War is a series of mods that aim to make each playthrough of the newer games a far more complex, mechanically deep and (of course) longer experience. They change this up by adding new content, making your soldiers develop more over time and also scale up the difficulty to make it a truly challenging experience. For a long time players of the game were stuck with the vanilla XCOM 2 experience as the Long War mod unfortunately did not support the huge overhaul expansion War of the Chosen however as an early christmas gift the modding team has seen fit to finally give us ‘Long War of the Chosen’ which has many fans excited. Hell it may very well get me to play the game again, I do often find mysefl reminiscing the good times of retaking earth from alien invaders…
