It seems as though Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve, is slowly making the changes required to make his brand new supervillain doom fortress after he decided to move to New Zealand temporarily in order to escape the panic of the pandemic as apparently it’s one of the safest places in the world currently. I kid of course however other Valve employees have indeed been curious about the idea of moving parts of the studio to NZ in order to better work on game development with the head of their company though it was stated that they wanted to see how long the pandemic is looking to drag out before they made a decision as rash as that.
Speaking of game creation however Gabe also remarked that Valve did indeed have several games in development and that some of them would be announced this year. Could this be the very fabled Half Life 3 or perhaps something to do with the rumours surrounding project ‘Citadel’? I suppose only time will tell this year but regardless the idea that Valve is back into making video games properly again now after the release of Half Life: Alyx is an exciting prospect and I personally cannot wait to see what they come up with.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
