Lovers of all things portable gaming related rejoice as the biggest thing to happen in mobile PC gaming is now upon you. Valve’s entry into the switch-competitor market, the Steam Deck, is finally released to those who initially pre-ordered it. If you’re one of the dew that originally did this then congratulations, enjoy your new system. For the rest of us, well, maybe one might pop up on gumtree if you’re lucky.
Reviews are in for the system too and it’s generally being received well but with a few issues in this initial release. Battery life is still a problem, many modern games aren’t running that well and the system is apparently very heavy to hold but aside from those issues it seems as though people are generally quite happy with this new product. Valve has already confirmed that new versions of this system will indeed be coming out over the years so we may very well see improvements to the biggest issues the system has which should make people far more interested in checking it out. I for one won’t be as I don’t have much of a reason to do so but if you want to purchase and play on a Steam Deck then all the more power to you! Just be sure to research it beforehand so you know exactly what you’re getting into first.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
