The Ray Trace Removal

Now just imagine how much more you would enjoy this if it had better lighting…

Atomic Heart is certainly a divisive release and there are many things to be said about the game itself however something that has blown up a lot is the removal of an important feature to high-end PC gaming enthusiasts, Ray Tracing.

Atomic Heart was used as a showcase of the power of what Ray Tracing can do to make a game looka amazing, in fact it was used by graphic card companies as a demonstration of their technology and as such many people believed this feature would be in the PC game at launch. However surprisingly the game did not in fact release with this and the developers have stated they aim to add it back in on a future patch, hwoever whenever that will be was not stated. It’s interesting as technically it means they advertised a part of the product that was blatantly untrue, I’m getting Aliens: Colonial Marines flashbacks… Regardless this is the current situation so I guess it was most likely for technical reasons, we will see how long it takes to be brought back into the game.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
