I know the title of this post is rather confusing but here me out. Recently Microsoft teased the fact that the Xbox series of consoles would be getting the newest version of their browser, Edge, that would be tailored for a specific console experience and thus would allow for quite a few new services to function using the ability to connect to the PC via web apps.
One of these in particular has stood out to many, GeForce Now, which is essentially a gaming streaming service in direct contest with Google Stadia but with many saying that they actually prefer this over the google alternative. As such you could theoretically use this service while streaming via the Xbox to create a PC gaming experience that runs on your TV, pretty neat! Of course this only really applies if you are someone who owns an Xbox and wants to play PC games on it but I’m sure this will open up the door for a variety of different systems and games to work on multiple platforms, bringing the world of gaming just that bit closer to being fully together without restrictions on which platform you play on. I just hope this shows developers and publishers how nice of a world this could turn out to be.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
