It seems people are really taking this Coronavirus thing seriously as the annual GDC (Game Developer Conference) has been postponed until the end of summer due to concerns about the ever growing number of cases of the virus around the world.
What I’m most confused about however is that the virus itself is relatively low risk so cancelling such a big event due to these minor incidents is an odd move to say the least. Refunds will of course be given to those attending but the cost of cancelling hotels and flights will surely be an even bigger issue regarding all of this. Still it is a sad day that something like this has happened but I suppose it’s all in the interest of public safety, despite the seeming non-threat of the situation.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
