In a recent community update on the Rockstar Games website they officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is in active development though did not give a release date as of yet. Many people knew that this was inevitable and that it was indeed coming but this is the first official confirmation that it is indeed being made and that it is actively being worked on at the moment.
As you might imagine this is huge news for many in the gaming industry. Interestingly they didn’t even confirm that it would be called GTA 6 so at this point who knows what on earth it could be. I personally see them fully integrating the online space of GTA from the very start and may even include it as a core and mandatory feature, making it a pseudo-mmo. Regardless it will be interesting to see where this news goes and you can bet I will be covering the latest updates about it once we get actual gameplay shown.
