The End of Total War: Warhammer 2

Cold Blooded vs Hot Blooded… who will win!?

Within the big Skulls for the Skull Throne livestream shown off last week we were shown plenty of new content for the Warhammer series including a bunch of new smaller games and a nice look at some extra gameplay from the third entry in the series.

However the biggest announcement was the reveal of the final piece of DLC for Total War: Warhammer 2, The Silence and The Fury, which is slated to release in July and is set to highlight to Lizardmen faction and their resident Doomslayer-esque hero, Oxyotl, and the Beastmen and their terrifying Brass Bull, Taurox.

Alongside the release of this DLC will be a rework of the ‘horde’ mechanic which is a gameplay style used by the Beastmen faction and has been considered by many to be the weakest form of army management in the game. Hopefully this terrifying new lord and set of mechanics will help to make the anthropomorphic chaos animals more of a threat. This will be the final piece of content for the second entry in the trilogy before the release of the third game and so it acts as a sunset on the game that got me into the Warhammer series, a sad day indeed. Admittedly I came in very late into the game so I had plenty of content to enjoy and as such I cannot wait for the next game and to see if it can live up to the hype surrounding it, I guess I will just have to wait and see.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
