Sega have begun their celebration of Sonic’s 30th Anniversary with a direct-like video series showing off a bunch of new stuff based around Sonic and his cameos in many different games. They showed a bunch of extra content for their mobile Sonic games, that several games such as the next olympics video game and two-point hospital would be getting costumes in the image of the blue blur and that new merchandise was being made.
Two of the announcements however were of particular note. Firstly that Sonic Colours would be getting an official remaster and update for modern consoles and PC which was a nice surprise for those who enjoyed this particular title. The other announcement was rather vague however, seemingly showing us a teaser for a brand new game in the series that is scheduled to release at some point in 2022. Nothing else is known about it at the moment but it’s certainly interesting to see how much emphasis they seem to be putting in this new game. I guess we will just have to wait and see what else they announce over the year.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
