With how popular Palworld has been over the past few months it’s clear that the ‘creature-capture’ genre that Pokemon popularised is growing to encompass a large variety of different styles of games. Another one that was recently shown off at the Xbox Partner Showcase is a lovely looking game known as ‘Creatures of Ava’.
Rather than the brutal violence of Palworld or the general strange institution of fighting vibes you get from Pokemon, Creatures of Ava looks to be a more calm and peaceful game. You instead focus on curing these creatures from a dangerous disease and then working in tandem with them to get around the beautiful and colorful world. No fighting necessary! I do enjoy games that take a violent formula and look to make it more peaceful, just look at Undertale!
