Steam recently hit a brand new record of having 34.6 million concurrent users online recently, beating a previously held record by just around an entire million. This marks a huge leap in the development of the storefront, with many considering it to be THE PC gaming store, and proves just how integral it is to many people.
I will freely admit that I have a bias towards Steam, with me trying to keep as many games as I can on the platform when possible. I have changed my tune slightly in recent years with the advent of the PC Xbox Game Pass which has helped me diversify where I keep my games on my PC a bit but if Steam ever came up with something similar you can bet I would be jumping on board that.
Regardless, here’s to you Steam. Offering good deals, easy installs and the biggest variety of games on the internet. Now please don’t randomly shut down one day…
