Otherworldly

A shame, these aesthetics looks really nice

The team behind the wildy anticipated sequel to the 2D juggernaut Terraria have announced that their plan for a sequel, Terraria: Otherworld, has finally been cancelled due to development falling behind too much.

This is a shame as the game has had a host of problems ever since it was first announced a few years ago. From development concerns to members of the team leaving there was just too many problems for the game to be continued in the state it was in. The team mention how they probably shouldn’t have announced it while it was so early in development and that they have learned from this mistake. It’s a shame as the more strategic gameplay looked like an interesting departure from the previous game so while mods may eventually bring this type of gameplay to the original game it’s sad to say that the official release will never see the light of day.

Luckily the team announced this will not impact the continued updates of the original game which is always nice to see. Let’s wish the team the best of luck going into the future and hope something like this doesn’t happen again. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
