Recently Sega announced a number of classic games from their Genesis/Mega Drive lineup will be released digitally on the Nintendo Switch in a type of ‘Pack’ called the Sega Ages Pack (Volume 1). It’s clear to see that the two companies that used to be at each other’s throats are now good companions and are working together to bring a huge amount of classic games to Nintendo and Sega fans alike, and that makes me very happy.
This is supposedly just the first of many packs that Sega plan to bring to the system. This one should include the classic Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star Online, Alex Kidd and various other games. I for one will be looking forward to seeing how the Switch handled emulation of these games and what other games they officially decide to bring to the console. Where once they were enemies, now they are allies. It’s a wonderful sentiment in the video game sector.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
