No Interconnected Cyberpunk

I love using Cyberpunk bugs as images now

After the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 it seems as though focus has shifted entirely for what the future of the development studio will be into full damage control. With the recent release of a big patch that fixes a whole slew of bugs CD Projekt Red have stated in a strategy update video that they are planning to ‘reconsider’ their multiplayer plans for the game and instead focus more upon making an “Interconnected Platform” for all of their future games, whetever that means.

What this means for us however is that it seems the planned GTA Online-esque addition to Cyberpunk 2077 appears to have stopped development and now they are instead looking to make the game playable first which is the best way to go about this I believe. Still this announcement is sure to dissapoint a lot of people and at the painfully slow pace that they are putting out bug fixes I don’t think it will help to rekindle interest in the game. Many people are speculating that the lack of multiplayer support is due to their belief that the game was considered a failure by many and as such do not wish to support a ‘dying’ game and simply wish to move onto future products which certainly would make sense from an economical perspective. Still it’s sad to see yet another big feature that was planned for the game now gone and it just provides another kick in the gut to the massive dissapointment that Cyberpunk 2077 was to many.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
