A wee while back I played through all of Morrowind for the first time and it was quite the experience. I wouldn’t rank it among my favourite from the Elder Scrolls franchise but it was a good time and I’m glad I stuck through it. Well as it turns out Morrowind recently turned 20 and in celebration of this the multiplayer mod for Morrowind, TES3MP, collaborated with the VR version of the open-source engine version of the game, OpenMW VR, to bring fully functioning multiplayer VR gaming to Morrowind.
This is a huge achievement as it really brings home just the amount of work and effort that has gone into making this kind of game a delight to play with others and the amount of dedication that dedicated fans of the franchise have to make their dreams a reality. If you told me years ago that I could play a VR version of Morrowind, let alone playing in with others in a multiplayer setting, I wouldn’t have believed you. Nonetheless here we are are while there are still a few bugs and crashes as might be expected from something like this it’s still an amazing achievement and the modders deserve all of the respect and praise they can get. If you want to check it out then all of the relevant links to download are available in the announcement page right here.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
