Creative Assembly finally released the long-awaited roadmap for their content going forward in Total War: Warhammer 3 and people are not happy with the results. It seems as though most of the content for the game is being set to be released later this year and most of the updates coming soon are simply bug fixes and balance changes.
Understandably people believed that things such as the long awaited ‘Immortal Empires’ mode and the ‘Blood DLC’ would be coming fairly soon just as they did with Total War: Warhammer 2 however it seems as though CA are focusing on getting the game to a stable and working condition before releasing any additional content. While this is admirable it’s ultimately going to feel bittersweet to those who wanted a reason to play the game again but have found they will need to wait until the end of the year until they actually have a reason to hop back in.
Many have stated, and I agree, that the game at the moment certainly feels as though it was released a bit too early and that it needed more time in the oven. If this had happened then many of the bugs would already be ironed out, things would have been more balanced due to more QA testing and the new additions could have felt as though they were coming out at a swifter pace due to all the technical problems being resolved before release. Still this is the product we have received so it seems as though we will just need to apply some extra patience before we get the great content that the series is known for, if people don’t just drop the game on release.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
