Mashing Rogue Legacy and a Sequel

Man I love that blurb

Rogue Legacy was a lovely indie game that I feel a lot of people either didn’t know about or didn’t play for some reason despite it having a very loving fanbase that supported the game and provided mods for it too. Perhaps then this will be the time for it to really break into the mainstream as a sequel to the original game has finally been announced for release into Early Access on July 23rd which is very exciting for many players, myself included!

If you don’t know the concept of the game, it’s essentially a rogue-like side-scrolling dungeon crawler except each of the characters you play as are all from the same family and completely randomly generated. This means they could be an axe wielding barbarian or a blind mage and all of these class choices and genetic traits have effects on gameplay. When your character dies (and they WILL die) a new descendent is created and you pick up where your previous parent left off. It’s a lovely concept and the sequel looks to expand the concept and introduce a randomly generated kingdom to explore too which all sounds very exciting. You can bet I will be keeping an eye on this one.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
