Late last year Sega announced a bunch of games that would be remade for modern audiences, with the biggest one in my opinion being a new entry in the Crazy Taxi series. For those that are unaware, Crazy Taxi was a silly game on the Dreamcast originally that saw you playing as a Taxi driver picking up people in an open world city and taking them to their destinations in the most dangerous way possible.
It was a silly concept for a game, but was also great fun. Recently, Sapporo Studio president, Takaya Segawa, stated that the game would be ‘Triple-A’ which, while it doesn’t tell us much, indicates that the studio is taking the game seriously and if all goes well this could be a big re-do of the original game to bring it up to more modern sensibilities. I for one just hope that the game keeps the ridiculous 90’s beachtime aesthetic. Gotta remind myself of the good times y’know?
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
