One of the biggest falters for the remaster of Warcraft 3 released a few years ago was the fact that, through the official Blizzard launcher, you could no longer play the classic ‘Legacy’ version of Warcraft 3 and thus you were stuck with the subpar remake. This also meant that the servers for the old game were taken down and just like how companies all want the things you make now all the custom maps became the technical property of Blizzard now.
This all, obviously, sucked but now at least one thing makes this less painful, and that’s the fact you can now finally play the legacy version of Warcraft 3 again on the Blizz launcher. The servers are still down, and there’s some technical issues with playing it on modern systems, but it’s at least there if you want to play it. Hopefully old hats who enjoyed playing the original will be glad to know that the game they thought they lost isn’t quite gone yet. Now let’s see how Blizzard end up ruining the next thing…
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
