It seems as though the Indie scene is starting to get some great new games coming soon. Lucas Pope, the crator of the absolutely stellar Paper’s Please has recently announced and shown off the next game in the works known as ‘Return of the Obra Dinn’.
The game, like Paper’s Please, has a premise that makes it sound like an incredibly boring title. You are an Insurance Adjuster in the 1800’s who is brought aboard the half-destroyed ship known as the Obra Dinn. Your job is to travel around the destroyed ship, find all dead members of the crew and determine how they died and what fate ultimately befell the ship. The premise is certainly intriguing with you experiencing multiple flashbacks and puzzle elements. It also has a very unique art style that I think looks absolutely gorgeous. The game is slated to be coming out at some point this year so be on the lookout for this!
