Ever since it’s reveal back at E3 this year Microsoft’s newest entry in the Halo franchise, Halo Infinite, has been strangely quiet. One of the main reasons for this can of course be the fact that the trailer we saw wasn’t actually the game but was instead a tech demo for the new engine that the game is on. Pracitcally the only things we know about the game is that it’s the next game in the franchise and the ending for this ‘second trilogy’, is releasing both on Xbox One and PC (thank god) and will apparently go back to “Halo’s Roots” whatever that may mean.
However from recent checks at the job listings for 343 Industries, the creators behind this new trilogy things are already off to a rocky start. This is mainly due to several positions which confirm that both Microtransactions and ‘Games as Service’ mechanics are being brought into this game which knowing Microsoft could be incredibly anti-consumer.
I personally just want this game to be a good return to the old days without all of this extra nonsense but modern gaming simply does what makes it the most money. I just hope this doesn’t detract from the game in a big way like Battlefront 2 otherwise we are going to have some big problems. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
