I knew that opening Half Life: Alyx up to mod support would be a good idea, and I suppose this is one of the examples of why. Some madman has recreated most of the Silent Hill PT from scratch in the Half Life: Alyx engine and has released it on the Steam Workshop to download, scary.
The modder, AmbientDruth, has stated that he will continue work on the mod creating more triggers and audio cues in order to make it the most authentic experience possible. Playing PT was scary enough but doing it in VR, that’s a big nope from me. Still it just shows the creative possibilities in this brand new VR workspace and I look forward to the day in which the engine can be used to create a VR version of Garry’s Mod.
