Morrowind recently celebrated it’s 20 year anniversary and due to this the modding scene had a contest to create some of the strangest and most wonderful mods around. One entry in particular however stood out from the rest mostly due to the backstory of it’s creation, Stripes the Cat.
You see this little feline companion will accompany you through the game and can cast low level shock spells to take out any aquatic enemies you may face, mudcrabs in particular. The reason this is noteworthy is that this was actually created by the modder in question, NoUsernamesNotTaken, as a personal mod for their children. You see when their kids played the game they were absolutely terrified of mudcrabs in particular, so this modder decided to take their family cat and import them into Morrowind so that Stripes could protect them from any mudcrabs that they may come across. This is such a lovely story and is a wholesome way for modders to make a difference for their personal circumstances as well as giving a nice mod choice for avid Morrowind fans. Stripes has proven to be an extremely popular download ever since they were submitted to the competition so I wish this modder the best of luck in their future modding endeavours!
