Ubisoft have recently confirmed that they are creating a brand new FPS that will be set within the Tom Clancy universe known as XDefiant. The shooter will be a multiplayer-only 6v6 battle arena type shooter with multiple factions coming from different groups in the TC Universe and will have different characters with unique abilities and stats.
Most have already compared the game to that of Call of Duty with a punk aesthetic but whether that will continue to be the case once people have gotten their hands on the game will remain to be seen. Ubisoft have not announced a release date as of yet but there will be a playable teaser demo in a few weeks so I suppose we will see how the game actually is once that comes around. Still it all seems a bit strange as Ubisoft have been doing fine in the FPS genre with Rainbow Six: Siege but I suppose they just want a bit of that COD Pie.
