Following on from last year in which the original Crysis received a remaster to melt our PC hardware once again Crytek have now confirmed that the entire series will now be getting a full remaster which you can buy as just the second and third entry or the full three games in a trilogy collection which is slated to come out at some point in Fall of this year.
The remasters will of course feature updated 4K graphics and a bunch of optimisations for all of the games and will hopefully also include some quality of life improvements just as the original game received over time from patches. It’s considered by many that the second game in the series is probably the best of them all so seeing a brand new version of it available to those who have systems powerful enough to run it is a welcome sight. I just hope that it is actually able to be effectively run and does not take it’s reputation as ‘the difficult games to run’ seriously and slacks on how the games handle the processing powers of your machine. Time will tell I suppose.
