Turtle Rock Studios have recently announced that they are creating a brand new game and IP known as Back 4 Blood which they tote as being a co-op zombie FPS game with a campaign and even some PVP elements.
Now why does that sound familiar to everyone? Well that’s because Turtle Rock were actually the development studio behind the critically acclaimed and loved Left 4 Dead, the original zombie co-op FPS game. While the comparisons are of course going to be made with this new game and the original series (they even sound similar) the studio has stated that they are two entirely different game series and that Back 4 Blood will offer a lot more interesting elements to the genre.
Nothing else has been confirmed thus far however there is a lot of hope. However we must also remember that Turtle Rock were behind the microtransaction riddled disaster that was Evolve so I would advise being skeptical before we see just how this game operates. Let’s just hope there are no microtransactions…
