One of the biggest announcements at the Unity GDC conference was a teaser for the upcoming third installment in the System Shock series. The games were widely considered finished and replaced by the Bioshock series until in 2015 when the third game was announced however since then we hadn’t heard anything.
Now we have some in game shots to judge it for ourselves and I must say it is looking very promising. The game will of course be running in Unity which could mean a few things but I think it’s far too early to be judging it based on that fact alone. We know only that the main series antagonist SHODAN will be returning so that’s nice to know. Otherwise we haven’t gotten a release date or any other pieces of information surrounding the game so for now it remains a mystery. Let’s just hope the revival of this series turns out to be a good one.
