We finally have Kerbal Space Programme 2 in Early Access and at the very moment it’s… a bit of a mess. Technical issues are abound, bugs all over, performance issues on most machines and due to the Early Access nature of the game it’s missing a bunch of features that were in the original title. Put it plainly if you buy the game in it’s current state you are essentially buying an inferior product to the original with prettier graphics, shame.
That’s not to say the game is god awful or anything. The foundations for a good sequel are there and the developers have stated they plan to add in all the missing features that players are clamboring for over time, as is the nature of Early Access. At the moment however I think a particular review comment I noted puts it best.
“Personally, I’m treating this more as a pre-order with a playable demo”
Treat it like that and perhaps you will enjoy it more, knowing the rest of the game will come later and will be all the better for it. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
