With this being the week of gaming news hype is surrounding all sorts of franchises and titles for what could possibly be announced tonight at the Summer Games Fest. Now of course you’ll get a breakdown from me when Monday rolls around, but I wanted to discuss one possibility that people are getting excited about, Guild Wars 3.
This is due to a teaser released recently by the Guild Wars Twitter account which, while not mentioning what the project is, teased something being revealed tonight. As such, fans are naturally speculating as to what this could be, with many thinking this is the next Guild Wars being announced, which would certainly be a big thing. Not only would it make current players of Guild Wars 2 feel a bit silly as the fairly recent expansion would feel a bit pointless now but the remastered version of the original Guild Wars would also certainly lose players if this new MMO was announced to come out. Then again, it could be a while before it is scheduled to come out so who knows at this point. Either way, I guess we’ll all find out tonight, and you will get my thoughts on it this upcoming Monday.
